Uk Parliament Assembly

Our students attended a special assembly focused on democracy and how the United Kingdom is governed. The session aimed to help pupils understand the role of Parliament and why democratic participation is important in our society.

During the assembly, students learned about the structure of the UK Parliament, including the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and how laws are proposed, debated, and passed. The presentation also explained the role of Members of Parliament (MPs), elections, and how citizens can have their voices heard through voting and civic engagement.

The session encouraged pupils to think about the importance of fairness, representation, and responsible decision-making in a democratic system. Through discussion and examples, students explored how the choices made in Parliament can affect everyday life across the country.

It was an informative and engaging assembly that helped pupils develop a better understanding of their role as future citizens. We hope it has inspired them to take an interest in how their country is run and the value of participating in democracy.
